We're reading "Jane Eyre" for our summer AP Literature assignment and writing a journal. On one of the requirements for the journal, my teacher put: "Respond to beauty and craft. Explain your response."

What does this mean? What is 'beauty' and 'craft' in terms of literature? I'm having trouble researching it anywhere.

  1. I guess she's referring to the skills of the writer how she do the novel or journal and what makes her/his writing distinct from other writers.
