What one item would you change about the United States, please provide real answers?

The US Constitution clearly defines the things the Federal gov't can do, and prohibits it from doing anything else in the 9th and 10th Amendments.

These 2 amendments have been ignored the last 70 years.  Nowhere in the Constitution is the gov't authorized to set up programs like Social Security, Medicare, Welfare, etc.  

I would force the federal gov't to live by the restrictions set forth in the Constitution.

That our society valued family and love over money and possessions.

Better checks and balances--because clearly the system isn't working.
