  1. What inspire me to ice skate is the grace and beauty I see in figure skating and ice dance.

    I love any beautiful movement, whether from figure skating or dancing. I dream to do ice dance!! a brilliant way to combine ice skating and dancing.... ^_^

  2. Go Figure! I really love that movie! Right after I watched it I begged my Dad to let me start, and since then I've been wanting to skate. But in 2006 I gave up hope, then I watched Ice Princess in early 2007 and I remembered those other times I wanted to do ice skating, and I thought about it! And now I'm sure this is what I want to do

  3. Sasha Cohen :) My dad took me to see her at the olympics once and i fell in love w/ the sport!

  4. ohgoodness thats a loaded question =]

    basically-short version::::

    my mother was a figure skater, she eneded up going senior and pro, when she met my dad, a hockey player. he was on a pro team and was at the same rink she practically lived at. they fell in love, got married, had four beautiful children, the two boys immediately put into hockey, and the two girls into figure skating. when me and my twin brother were about three, our parents opened a family rink where my mom is the head figure skating coach, and my dad is the head hockey coach. we all practically live there. and now that we are all teenagers, we assist with teaching too.

    i guess you wouldn't exactly say i was inspired to skate, but found my passion for it by watching the love my mom has for it. sometimes when we are at the ink after closing time, and everyone has left, and my dad is playing hockey will all of us on one of the two rinks, i will look out at the other rink and see my mom going through one of her old skating programs. seeing how much she still loved skating, even after all these years inspires me to skate with the same passion. and, having a family that owns their own rink and spends all of there time there helps a lot! even if my parents werent the ice-tycoons they are, im sure i would still have that same passion.

  5. my mom inspired me because she was an ice skater.  Also, the disney movie go figure and ice princess, because that is so me(in ice princess) If you havent taken lessons, try it because it is ALOT of fun. :D

  6. i started to ice skate when i was five, and did ballet. but then, for my sixth birthday party, i had ice skating and my dad got me brand new skates. then from time to time, i went ice skating. then my dad asked me a very important question: Lea, do you want ice skating or ballet? i chose ice skating. (thank heavens) it's a great sport and i love it.

  7. michelle kwan. i was 5 and i wanted 2 b just like her. im more of an ameture sk8tr now, but evry1 still says that i hav that special "way" w/ the ice and that im sooo graceful and that i look like i was born 2 do it. it was all michelle. i wanted my "way" w/ the ice 2 b just like hers

  8. That's not silly at all!  As for me, it's not really a "who" but a "what".  I loved roller skating as a kid (on my own) and had silly dreams of becoming the best roller skater in the world - ha ha.  I thought I invented swizzles!  Then later and throughout life, I loved music and dance.  So the one night when my friend wanted to go ice skating, one step on the ice got me hooked!!  It triggered fond memories of my childhood "roller skating" and I knew I could incorporate music and dance into it . . . so it was instant love!!  When I started skating (as an adult), many of the regular adults at the rink inspired me and continue to inspire me  . . . I had no idea there was this whole adult world of skating.

    Best of luck with your skating and all that inspires you!

  9. i dont think i was really inspired to skate because in fifth grade my mom said i needed something to do on saturdays and my friend skated then so i said why not ice skating and she agreed but as a little girl i do remember going to my aunts house and cause she had hard wood floors and no cable so in the winter when we went over we would put on ice skating and i would put my socks on and pretend to do sit spins on her hardwood floor not ever thinking that i would want to do them in the future just having fun at my aunts house while my mom and dad talked with family

    isnt that kinda weird i think so
