So, I don't really care about how this goes, but I would like for it to be proper if there is a specific way for it to go. I do not have vellum or tissue paper with my invitations. They were individually hand created and made by a friend of a friend who has opened her own stationary business. This is what I have...I have a flat card invitation and one outside envelope (no second inside envelope), a response card and return envelope, a reception card, and a double sided directions insert. Is there an order for this? I think it looks best with smallest to biggest in size, but I wish people would see the invitation first when they open the envelope, not the inserts, but at the same time, I don't want something to get left behind in the envelope behind the invitation... what is best? Thanks!

  1. I didn't like the thought either, but the invitation should go in the back. On top of that, put the reception card, direction card, and response card. The response card should be tucked into the corner flap of the envelope for it, but not in it. It should be the first thing the guest sees.
