I got married to a man of my dreams this year. Withi his kids and my kid we have outgrown our house. Now against dr.'s odds we are having another bundle of joy. Right now we already have three kids in one room. Two we only have half the time but we still have their stuff all the time. I lost my job ironically on mother's day. We can not afford to build on. We desperately need to though. Does anyone have any ideas. I already got an aplication from Habitat for Humanity but that takes 18 months, and even then they may not think we are the worthy candidates...

  1. You might check with church groups or social services.  What happen to those old fashion barn (house) raising in the old days?

I wish they were still here.  I have a friend who is having the same problem and a church she doesn't even go to helped her.

  2. You could try putting out a poster in your community. You never know there might be some people who would be willing to help that live right around the corner!

    Good luck :)

  3. You might as well go through with the Habitat app. They don't judge worthiness, just need and ability to pay for the materials. The great thing is that they don't charge interest and get donated labor (including yours and Mr. Dreams') and materials so you wind up paying less than rent for mortgage+taxes+insurance.

  4. Maybe you can put the kids in foster homes where they have a real chance at a good life
