my best friend was adopted when she was a baby from an asian country, and she told me she'd give me 5 bucks if i could guess her country of birth in one try. so her name is an xi jiang and ideas???

Ask her if her name is not unusual for her area. Do not guess Chins. That is what she wants you to guess. I can almost guarantee you it's not China. Mongolia? Japan? KOREA!!

Well, its certainly not Japanese. So I'm guessing maybe Chinese.

Yes, its Chinese and Xi Jiang is actually the name of a river in Southeast China.

An means Peace, Xi means West (go figure) and Jiang means River.
