What other Mexican cities have some good nightlife besides Cancún and Puerto Vallarta?

well on the beach is Acapulco, Cabo, Mazatlán, and outside the beach, Mexico city, Guadalajara, Monterrey as the big ones with real nice clubs and a diversity of places for every crowd, and in every city close to a million people there is plenty of party to go around but in my opinion those on the top are the best places to go out and party besides Cancun and Pvr.

Acapulco---wild night life

One thing is unique to Acapulco are the "Ciff Divers" and you can get an night cruise Barra Libre (open bar) and they dive from high up in the cliffs with a flare in each hand.for $25.00 per person.

You can take a trip to the island of Roqueta where late in the afternoon they release "Beer drinking donkeys"  They will come over your shoulder and take the bottle and knock it back.

Acapulco was the original tourist destination back in the days of John Wayne and the Hollywood gang and their hotel has been preserved in its original condition and is popular for fantastic sunsets.(Los Flamingos)

I was at Barba Roja ,a bar on the strip and around 4am I said to the cantinero -what time do you close--He said -when the last customer leaves.

Acapulco wrote the book on how to entertain tourists.

Oh, In the state that Acapulco is , It is "Pozole" every Thursday.

If you don't know what it is , it is a traditional meal that is absolutely delicious.  I suggest "Verde"

On this site I have noted that some have snubbed Acapulco

and think that Cancun is Mexico.

Anyone that has been to Cancun and thinks they have been to Mexico is sorely mistaken.

Cancun was created to attract tourists and make money and does not have the flavor that is obvious in other Mexican cities

I have been all over Mexico and always return to Acapulco--Each to their own I suppose.

Mazatlan!!!

Stay at  El Cid Castilla Beach Hotel.  there are plenty of activities you can do there.  Mexico’s largest pools and entertaintment. There are many restaurants, bars and night clubs in the hotel

You can do all the usual "beach" activities, snorkel, jet ski, deep sea sport fishing, etc., and golf, shop, tour & tan.

Mexico City had a club scene that rivals NYC, and there is PLENTY of daytime activities, just in the zocala alone.

Ixtapa has a senor frogs and a carlos and charlie's, Cozumel has both of those plus fat tuesday's and Margaritaville, also they have coconuts and the rasta bar and awesome snorkeling during the day
