What other careers or jobs does being a mortgage professional prepare one for?

I have been in the mortgage business for close to twenty years and due to a move I made to be closer to my aging parents, the current state of affairs and a desire (or curiosity) to try something new, I am considering a 2nd job or even career Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

I was a mortgage underwriter for several years and was recently laid off due to the terrible real estate market.  I have had a really hard time finding any work in that industry and have had a hard time transitioning into different areas since my experience was so limited to one industry.  I am currently working as an accounting clerk/administrative assistant, but I had to take a huge pay cut.  So good luck.
