I know the norm is street signs on poles at intersections. High wind areas have the signs suspended on wires over the streets. In San Francisco, California, in addition to the street signs on poles, the street names are cut or pressed into the concrete at or near each intersection. Some corners on Market Street, the main downtown street, have the name inlaid in brass. I was just wondering if San Francisco is the only city that does this?
