Your question as phrased is exactly why I ignore the Olympics as it became politically infused in Munich and turned back on spirit of the original Greek Games.  Why didn't you just ask what other country could lead the world at the medal count?

that question is idiotic. what does being at war have ANYTHIN to do with the olympics?

none of the athletes in the olympics came out of Iraq to represent the united states. the government didnt pull anyone out of their unit to go run track. each and every one of those competitors was a civilian with no ties to the army whatsoever, and many of em werent even born in america in the first place.

4000 brave men & women died in iraq. dont trivialise their sacrifice by askin retarded questions like this one
