Am Ex is a charge card (the green and the gold) and while they have no preset limits, you have to pay in full. Am Ex now offer credit cards like Blue from Am Ex and Am Ex Clear which allow you to keep a balance. try this site.

American Express doesn't have a limit and if you dare, you can pay a minimum payment.  However, accounts like these come with a price - high interest rates.
