What other kinds of cruel intentions&sick reasons do people live out when they go for personal adds? Besides?

this? Any other kinds of jokes or sick pranks you do or hear of? Have done, or experienced?

an add was posted looking for activity partners for discussing favorite authors & going to a museum. Some people replied, once they learned that the person who

posted it tremendously wanted to go to the museum and how much importance it had, they took advantage of this. What they did was:

got the person's phone # to call/ text message about how much they loved doing these kinds of things, to get the add poster's hopes waaaaayyyyyyy up, then they

described the great day they were going to have, they scheduled a meeting then they pretended to show up, through text messaging after a few hours of texting &

then said "oh hi, I'm about ten minutes away but I can't make it because I need to pick the lint off my sweater"

tons of other people did these kinds of jokes as well.

Pranks have always existed. Just the media changes. Fifty years ago when I was ten, I admit shamefully that I made a few crank calls like,"Does your refrigerator run?" After they responded yes, "Then you'd better go catch it." Not even really funny, but funny to a ten-year-old. The worst and last one was original. We called the local taxi company and requested a pickup at the address across the street. The taxi came and waited and waited. Suddenly I got this rush and knew these wee real people I was calling. I imagine it's the same sort of prank updated to the present that you're relating. When people are young, sometimes their empathy for others is undeveloped. Sadly for some people it never does develop.

Maybe you should be more careful about meeting people on the internet and get to know the people better before you make plans. Also, there is nothing wrong with going to the museum yourself, there are people there that really enjoy being there, get to know them, they are not gonna let you down.....
