What other kinds of fish can live with a golfish?

I have one goldfish and i want to get him a tankmate , but i dunt know if i want another goldfish, what other species can live healthy with a goldfish?

Goldfish can only be kept with other goldfish, usually for the other species's sake. Furthermore, fancy goldfish can only be kept with fancies, and some kinds like bubble-eyes and celestials can only be kept with their own species.

u can always get a guppy. even though they r feeder fish. just make sure ur ready for babys!

Only goldfish can be kept with goldfish, and in that only fancys with fancys and commons/comets with other commons/comets.

This is primarily because goldfish are large, coldwater, boisterous, nippy, bumbling fish that create a huge amount of waste that would cause the death of any smaller more sensitive fish. Small fish like white cloud mountain minnows could easily become a snack for a larger goldfish.

For a goldfish pair you need a minimum of a 25-30 us gallon overfiltered tank, with view to upgrade as the fish grow.
