  1. You're talking about Ethnic groups, and the other posters have given a comprehensive list.

  2. Race is a nineteenth century construct, and as such a characteristic of imperialism.  If you are going to invade another person's land and steal their wealth you have to justify this by some sort of pseudo science.  I was discussing events in the Congo recently, with a colleague,  and observed that Africa seemed always to be at the centre of some appalling savagery.'Yes,' he observed,'it's almost n**i, isn't it.'  Good call!!

  3. Bad words.

There is one race: human.  Anything else is considered technically inaccurate, and having a historic association with bigotry.

    There are ethnicities.

  4. there is only one biological race which is the human race, ur above list are social constructs

  5. There are three general racial groups: Caucasian, Asian, and African. Within those are more specific sub-racial groups.

    Caucasian:

    White/North European

    Mediterranean

    Middle Eastern/North African

    Asian:

    South Asian (Indian)

    East Asian

    Pacific Islander

    Oceanic

    Native American

    African:

    Ethiopian/East African

    Sub-Saharan/West African

    Mixed races:

    Mulatto

    Mestizo

Hispanic/Latinos isn't a race at all, but an incorrect word that people use to describe people from a spanish spekaing country. MostMost Latinos fall under the Mestizo racial category because they are a mix of European and Native American. There are also a minority of black latinos and white/Spanish latinos.

  6. Hispanics aren't a race actually

People from India are actually Caucasian.

You must be careful with the terms you used though unless you don't care what the Politically Correct idiots think...  I don't care, but I thought that I would at least warn you.

  7. Oh, there are East Asians, and Central Asians, and actually several different racial groups in Africa (the Bantu, the Bambuti and other Pygmy groups, and the Bushmen).  Native Americans are often lumped together, although there are clear differences even between tribes.

Actually, your including Hispanic in there highlights a problem with these sorts of groupings.  Hispanics aren't a race in the way we usually think of them.  They tend to be mixed, of Native, African, and European ancestry.  The percentages vary, of course, but they are by no means "pure".  Then again, no one is.  Racial definitions make as much sense as color definitions.  If you don't look at a color spectrum too closely, it all seems to make so much sense.  Red is not green.  Africans are not Europeans.  But then you get closer.  Where is the line between red-orange and orange-red?  No two people will agree, because there's infinite variations between the two.  And so it is with people.  Yes, Nordic people have different ancestry than Chinese, up to a point.  But going from Norway to China, you will see an infinitude of variation between the two groups, as people married their neighbors.  Even the supposedly isolated groups, the native Australians and Americans, weren't that isolated.  The Americans only got here around 13,000 years ago, although it could've been much earlier.  It looks like there were several waves of settling, too.  The Australians had contact with their island neighbors, who also traded with the Asian mainland.  They probably weren't just swapping trade goods, hint hint, nudge nudge.  So, yeah, really, there are as many racial groups as there are colors, and the lines are about as distinct.  h**l, the US government doesn't even care what you put on the census forms, so there aren't even really any legal definitions, at least not in this country.
