I've played 8-ball, 9-ball, one pocket and I've heard of straight pool even though I've never actually played it. Are there any other games that can be played on a regular 9-foot pool table?

  3. never played straight pool?  YIKES  man get a 12 pak and I'll come over.

You should also learn bottle pool, a classy game.

California billiards is pretty fun too.

  4. Cutthrote- usually 3-5 players.

write down on pieces of paper each of the balls, put in hat, each player pulls 2 pieces out.

The 2 balls they receive, they have to keep on the table while trying to remove everyone elses.

If all you balls are pocketed, then you are out and stop playing, last person playing wins.

  5. 101 is a good one... played just like darts...  Everytime someone knocks in a ball you pull it out and but it back at the break dot and award that number of points.  First one to knock in enough balls to exactly equal 101 is the winner...

  6. You can get a complete listing of pocket billiard games in the BCA rule book.  You can pick one up at just about any bookstore.  You can get the rules for the most commonly played games on the BCA website.  An interesting game that I've been playing is called "Bowlliards".  It's essentially pool with bowling rules.  You rack 10 random balls representing the 10 pins.  For each frame you break open the rack.  Anything you pocket on the break gets spotted.  After the break, you take ball in hand behind the headstring and try to run out the balls in any order without missing.  If you do so, it's counted as a strike.  If you miss once, it's a spare.  If you miss twice, you just score it like an open frame.  Otherwise, you just score it like a bowling match.  It's a fun game because it's easy to play by yourself or against an opponent.  It has aspects of straight pool and games with an open break shot like 8-ball or 9-ball.  If you don't mind a lot of racking and breaking, it's a good game.  M.D.-BCA Instructor/Referee.

  7. There are tons.  I like 3-ball.  Thats a good game to play for money.

You play with three Balls, after your break, you HAVE to sink each ball without missing, or else you add a dollar to the pot and the next person goes.  First one to do it wins the loot.

  8. I dont know the name of the game but its usually played with two players they start like any other game but they have to start in order.first they have to take the ball #,1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8...

and so on they each gets a chance if you dont score the ball it goes to the other player until all the balls are gone and then you add the # of the balls with all the balls that you scored and who evers gots more pints wins.?

  9. try strip poker if you dont find anything else i guess =/ idk  =D
