What overly generalized arguements bother you?

An overly generalized arguement is one where a spefic instance of something may be right and because of that one instance every instance of that activity is made right

Here are two examples:

Abortion should be legal in every instance because a woman can be raped

and

You're unamerican if you don't support the war in Iraq

I can tell u more than one. But recentely heard this from a collegue who works for U.N, besides She's my friend and I found it awful:

Prostitution is historical. Always will be girls on prostitution meanwhile there's men demanding.

It bothers me, because when we assume something is "natural", we assume there's nothing to do about it.

That men are sexist pigs, it is one of the roots to most every argument used in a cry for equality along with men are the perpetrators. when it was real rampant instead of giving a ear to a real problem what it did was make us the enemy and that is why the struggle was and still is so hard.

The poster, usually an immature idiot, utterly fails to grasp the fact that women were kept out of university in large numbers until the 1970s.

Yeah, it's shocking that Mrs. Bertha Smegglestein, mother of 11 children, forced out of school at age 12 to learn household tasks, utterly failed to invent the steam engine in 1840 in between bouts of washing 47 pounds of clothing per day, preparing 15 meals, cleaning the house, carrying another pregnancy to term, feeding the chickens and making jams for the wintertime.
