  1. all you need is the slip you was given plus mot plus insurance you do not need a driving licence to tax a car

  2. MoT certificate if it's more than 3 years old, Insurance certificate and the registration document. you don't need your driving licence to tax a car.

  3. if its oer three year old you need an mot certificate, you also need insirance certificate and log book to prove the car is yours, and drivin lisence

  4. You need

    (1) Insurance Certificate (Cover note is fine)

    (2) The MOT Certifiatce if its over 3 years old

    (3) The V5 Log book.

You may not have the whole V5 but you should have been given the "New Keepers" section, which is a small green "tear off" section signed by the dealer. Use this to tax the car, then keep hold of it. . . . the dealer should send off the rest of the V5 to DVLA updating it with your deatails and it should come through to you within 6 to 8 weeks.
