  4. You have to take this in the context of the whole book. Think about the cultural themes portrayed.. especially racism.  Black people were (and sometimes still are) held in extreme prejudice. They are very disadvantaged, and Atticus is explaining that its worse to cheat someone who is already at a disadvantage. Rather we should help them.
