  1. Hi:

Number #1 : Your not Dumb or stupid , you just don't know how to use and understand what the commands do. It's under standable

Number 2  : What copy does is it make a copy of what you selected

Try this Make a circle  on the paint screen, Find the select box in the Paint menu box , it's looks like a broken line box ;this the select button ;double click it ; then move the cursor to one  corner or side of the circle;  just above the circle . Now  click and hold down on that button  Now move the mouse  over until your just pass the circle than move the down torward the bottom of the circle (going just pass it.)  than let off the button. You should see the circle incompassed by a broken line box . What you did is ; you selected  the circle, now go to the edit box and select and double click  "Copy" , Now ,what as happened, is that in the computer's clip board space. You just made a copy of that circle. That circle will stay on the clipboard space until you select other object to put into it. To put another circle (the copied circle)  back on to the paint screen, just go to the edit box and select and double click "Paste" and another circle appear  in the top left hand corner and the broken box around the orignal circle is gone and it around that circle. Do not be alarmed, it just that in order for you to move the new circle. the computer had to let go of the circle.  move your cursor to the middle of the newly selected circle and  click on it and you can move it where ever you what it to be on the Paint screen. (just don't release the button until you put where you want it )than release the button and the circle will be where you put.

This feature is use to make and put copies  of circles, squares, triangle line and even pictures... it very useful in working with Microsoft paint.

The Cut command is for remove things,  it put things in the clipboard  also

Note of warning : if you got something in the clipboard your using,  the cut option   will remove  what in the clipboard if you got some picture or something you want to use later Don't use the cut command , use the paint easer instead. Okay

    I hope this helps.
