  1. To classify paint patterns in a simple way, "splashy" patterns are overo while "round spots" are tobino.  There are other rules to define the color patterns and combinations there of but this is the simplest way.  So you have an overo.

  2. Overo Splash

  3. overo

    just so you know:

the way to tell when its an overo: overos have color on their back, with white spots on their belly/neck/face/legs. Also, for paint horse registery, they don't have to have spots, but their face markings can go onto their jaw, (i believe they must have blue eyes to quality for that way) or white socks above the knee. That's only for paints as a breed if they want be registered as a non solid paint.

tobianos- they have mostly white on their back, and colored spots on belly/neck/face/legs. Colored spots must be larger than a certain measurement to quality. A couple years ago it was the size of a quarter or larger.

Toveros have white and color on their back, but they have more of a tobianos roundish spots, not so splashy and roan.

  9. it's a skewbald slash overo. skewbald because she is sorrel/ white, splash because that is the shape of the markings, and overo because of the pattern.
