I have a surfboard that fell of the roof of a car and then I run over. !$*%$(*%! Painful. It's still in one piece! I do fiberglass work and am gonna fix it but I am not sure what the best paint to use would be. Any suggestions? It's gotta be able to hold up to wax and all.

  1. If you are painting over the fiberglass regular old spray paint works fine.  If you are doing it under the glass use a water based paint so that you don't have any reaction between the solvent and the foam.

Check out the Shaper's Bay on Surfline.com.  There are a few topics on painting boards in it.

  2. Check with your local surf shop.

  3. by brother is a pro surfer and his sprays some of his boards. just use some spray paint. he uses car spray paint.

  4. Water resistant paint....

  5. Liner Polyurethane available at west Marine is great

It's water proof, UV resistant and adheres well to Fiberglass

It's used all the time on F/G boats.
