Please help. ^^ I think it's one of the most beautiful images I've ever seen. If you don't know could you please tell me what era/style/painter it looks like it's of/from so I could research it?

Thanks for putting the link in. It is a beautiful cameo painting of a bird on a bough, but I think you will have great difficulty in finding the name of the artist or the work. It seems like a mission impossible.

The painting is in a naturalistic style and maybe it is the work of a Japanese artist. But I fail to see how one can tell from this little image exactly what the painting is and who did it.

By the way, I am intrigued to know who set this question; and why?
