What papers are they gonna ask us between now and the day of the close!?

When you buy a house and you have a date of closing, what kind of papers and information the bank is going to ask you to bring between now and the day of the close???

Proof of insurance & payment

Pay stubs if over 30 days

Proof of down payment

Any 401k or retirement info

Bank statements

tax returns, current pay stubs cover the last month, IRA, 401K statements as well as proof of down payment and closing cost, if child support or alimony is used a copy of birth certificates as well as divorce decree, Copy of the purchase sales agreement and check for ernest money as well. Also a copy of ID with picture on it.

If any of your down payment was gifted to you, you may also need a letter from the person giving the gift verifying that it was a gift, not a loan, with nothing expected in return.
