What paranormal beings can imitate voices?

This occurred in our place a couple of times [daylight and nighttime] and I'm not the only one who heard it. The voice would sound like someone we know like one time my mother and I heard my sister calling my mother, sometimes my niece, etc. and then when we look there's no one there. I was just wondering if these beings have a particular name or breed or tribe or whatever.

there are 3 main types of spirits an intelligent, residual, and a demon, all three types are capable of communicating in different ways, an intelligent spirit will interact to you and could have been calling your mother, a residual haunt is one that replays the last moments of its life and wont know that it is causing the alarm, and a demon could be calling out to cause a disturbance and cause undue stress or worry, because typically demons want to destroy the will of a family member to fight against it to where it could possibly possess that family member. But always keep in mind that a demonic entity in a house is a very rare occourence, so dont really worry too much about a demonic entity, and if it becomes too much of a hassel to you or your family I would suggest on calling in professional investigators to check out the occourences and they would be able to tell you what you are dealing with and from there could suggest wether you should have the house blessed or if that would even do any good.

Ok, but I would venture to guess only one person heard this "being" at a time.

This isnt a creature. From time to time people can hear voiced of people they know, produced by thier own brain. This is very common while falling asleep and waking up.

Such things can occur in the middle of day also, especially if you and whoever else heard it have sleep issues.
