What park is better for kids ages 4 & 7...San Diego Zoo or the Wild Animal park

I have passes to go to both but not sure if I want to go to both. If I had to choose, Which park is better for kids at ages 4 & 7? I do not know if they can go on the tours at the wild animal park. And I have never been to either....Help. Want to go to the best one where you can see lots of animals.

I would say the zoo, your children are old enough to take the bus tours at either place.

The wild animal park doesn't have a lot of animals you can see without taking the tour bus. And the bus won't stop if say your child wants to take a longer look at something.

Both my son and daughter prefer the zoo over the wild animal park.

They are both pretty good,but for little kids, the San diego zoo would be better.

the Zoo is better this time of year.

the Wild Animal park can get really hot in August

(yes, the kids can do the tours)

the Zoo is at Balboa Park, so you can check out the park and it's many museums as well if you like.

They are both fun but the zoo is better for those ages. WIld Animal Park is better for older kids.
