Obama was shown a graph of the congressonal revenue board that CLEARY showed that the BUSH cuts increased the amount of revenue collected than before the cuts were instituted and yet he still thinks it is a good idea to raise taxes. Why is this the case? Liberals also rant on about the deficit but rather than demand less spending and line item veto to get rid of wastefull spending they want to take money out of the economy so the govt can waste it all. Why is this? Do liberals just hate anyone who has an income and is not dependent on the govt or is it just me?

  1. Revenues have been rising for decades, with or without tax cuts.

  2. Your argument is overly simplistic.  Which taxes, when decreased, increases revenue?  Are those the exact same taxes that Obama wants to increase?

Sorry, but there is a lot more to the story which I doubt you understand.

  3. Take a close look at the budget--discretionary spending is not that big a part. 41% of the budget goes to Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid; 20% to defense; and 7 1/2 percent to interest.

Where is your backup to support that Obama was shown such a graph? Where is your backup that he is raising taxes?

I paid higher taxes under Clinton than Bush, but was much better off as my investments grew instead of shrank, and the dollar was worth more so it was cheaper to buy things and travel.

  4. if we lowered all  taxes to zero, would the government then  be overflowing with revenues?

  5. i would say all of it!
