  1. When considered from the outside as a solid body gravity is assumed to be at the center of the earth.

But it is really spread out all through the earth.

It is actually a very good question, because according to theory all gravitational forces should be balanced in the center of the earth and anything there should be in free fall.

  2. The gravitational force of the earth is a function of the mass of the earth.

The force of gravity is not a thing located in any one area, but rather a force arising from the superposition of every mass-bearing particle.

Because the earth is spherical, we can treat the center of the earth as the location from which the force is exerted to simplify problems.

  3. It should be at centre of earth.

Otherwise, if it is not in center, the gravitional force (g)

may be different in different places of the world..

    for example..981 g/cm3 in England

    360g/cm3 in Japan..etc

  4. everywhere... but i guess c cause thats where everything comes from...
