What part of Ireland is Slane Castle in?

And if possible, how far away is it from Carrickfergus? If you need reference, Slane Castle is where Celtic Woman held their concert, A New Journey. It was also a place where the Battle of Boyne was fought.

It's NEAR the place where the Battle of the Boyne was fought, it's in County Meath I think, not far from Dublin anyway. Saw Queen play there in 1986, great concert.

just outside the village of slane county meath. as u will see from the accompanying map its easy to get to from dundalk then drogheda

ha I live there! It is in Co. Meath and is close to Navan.

Slane Castle is in the boyne valley where the battle of the boyne took place, but they are not in the same place. they are about 2 miles away from each other. If you are coming from Dublin Airport it is easy to get there because of all the signs. and everyone knows the place so if you get lost on the way you can just ask for directions
