  1. Nottinghill, Clerkenwell.

  2. The East End (for example Brick Lane) is very arty indeed. For an artist there is no better place in London. Camden is also good if you are into the drug scene. There are pubs, clubs, and Cafes all over london, but mostly in the richer areas like Kensington and Chelsea (which you seem unattracted to).

    Final answer: The East End.

  3. Soho, has tourists, but also good clubs, pubs, plenty to do.

Lily whats that got to do with the question

  4. Soho  fitted that description over 30 years ago, but no longer. Although it  still has a high number of bars, clubs and cafes, they are far from cheap and are mainly g*y hang-outs ( not that thats a bad thing in itself, of course, but as a result these places tend to be a bit posey and elitist ) rather than targeted at young people generally. It also tends to attract thousands of tourists because its so central. If thats your thing, you'll be comfortable there, but its really a place "to be seen" instead of having any genuine creative atmosphere.

The current hip place for creative, bright  young people is definitely Hoxton, which is just to the east of the City...every building is either a design agency, a bar, a health food cafe or the very latest  in cool night clubs. And absolutely NO tourists!

  5. Apart maybe for the intellectual factor(but what do you mean by that exactly? Posh?)  I would say Camden - bohemian, artsy, students, pubs, cafe, restaurants - defenitely!

  6. I would agree with the above answers...
