Okay, so I think we've got it narrowed down to Tennessee and Arkansas. My boyfriend and I are looking to purchase about 10 acres of land for small crops, horses and goats, so it needs to be a place where land is readily available and not tied up in family farms or ranches that wont divide their land. We are looking mainly for a nice climate where humidity isn't extremely high and where it cools down enough to snow during the winter. Someplace that doesn't have a high occurrence of tornadoes would be nice too, if it fits the bill. Anyone that has lived in either state or still does, if you have any suggestions, it would be greatly appreciated. We'd like to start setting up travel arrangements to see some towns and get an idea of what we're looking at. I really appreciate it!

  1. I live in Tennessee but I will tell you any part of the South has humidity issues in the summer. With that the best part about TN is no state income tax. So if you are farming then you will love Tn as most any portion of the state will suite you.

I am a mortgage banker in TN & KY
