What part of alberta do you truck in isolation and have to stay in camps?

WHERE OUT WEST WOULD YOU GO TO DRIVE TRUCK IN ISOLATION AND HAVE TO STAY IN CAMPS?

All that area of northern Alberta for sure.  There are numerous outfits operating out of camps.  Look for places such as Peace River, Grande Prairie, Fort McMurray, High Level, etc.  There are similar areas in northern British Columbia.  Here is one link to jobs and one to a map of the area.  Best of luck with your plans.

It depends what you are hauling. If you were driving a sump truck, moving a rig, welding truck, etc you may stay in a camp for two weeks at a time. If you are delivering materials or food, you would always be going back to the cities.

Fort MacMurray, as has been said, or Grande Prairie are two bases for that...my brother-in-law works out of the camps sometimes...most of the time they can live in town, though.  Depends on the job.

When out working in the bush, they have to take a guy with a rifle with them just in case any bears attempt to come for a visit...

As Alberta is booming there are many trucking jobs that require you to work isolated and stay in camp for awhile.. There are labour laws that limit how long you can stay in camps without days off though.. Many trucking jobs associated with the oil field industry are these types of jobs.. The truckers may drive within the province to the north like Fort MacMurry others may drive between Alberta and northern British Columbia.. These jobs could be found most likely out of the Edmonton or Calgary areas.. Hope I helped :).

Fort McMurry in northern Alberta.  It's about as cold and isolated as it can get and you have to live in company camps as there is not enough accomodation in the town.  You can make great money up there but don't count on doing drugs or drinking or they will ship your sorry butt out so fast you'll never know it happened.
