What part of being a plastic surgeon makes someone want to be one?

I'm not sure what you have to like about it to actually want to make your career as one. Sorry if that sounds confusing. Anyway, do most plastic surgeons become who they are because they enjoy seeing people feel better about themselves, like helping others, money, or because they like the beauty part. Do they enjoy changing a face or some other area of the body, because they just like making features/body more ideal?

  2. I think it's mostly about the money. Plastic surgery is really popular nowadays and more people are getting it done...But I'm sure they like to help people out as well...Some surgeons think of their job as that of a sculptor and take pride in the fact that they can perfect people's looks.

  4. Because you are unlikely to deal with sick people, and your patients rarely die....and you make major bucks.

  5. because you work with every body part and you can change people's lives in the most amazing ways from treating limb traumas to removing cancers from heads and necks, as well as helping people who have suffered major burns. plastics isn't synonymous with cosmetics.
