What part of the Caribbean is cheap during Thanksgiving week?

my friend had the same plan only for the past weekend and it was only $600 for flight there and back and hotel with food for a whole week. however he said the food was c**p and everything was just alright, so if u get a good deal thats pretty much all it will be.

Head down to Belize. I am not sure about the cost of flights but I am sure you will have fun if you go to Placencia or San Pedro. You can do Maya ruins, snorkle in the second longest barrier reef in the world. You can go in land and enjoy the divers cultures and get some local beans and rice and meat and salad, the Creole fravorit dish there. There are so much to do there and the price is not bad at all.

Just like you, everyone wants to travel Thanksgiving week so there are no good deals.  My guess is that 30 November will be projected to be the busiest air travel day of the year.  If you can slide your trip forward or back a week you probably will find a better deal.  As for where to go:  Jamaica, Don Rep, Virgin Islands, Curacao come to mind.
