  1. I looked through the Constitution and I couldn't  find anything

  2. The part where it says the Constitution means nothing and Bush can do whatever he wants.  The only controls on Presidential power rest with the Legislature and the Supreme Court, and the Legislature chose to do nothing because Bush was getting troops killed and claiming that interfering with his right to waste lives was being nonsupporting of the troops being put at risk.

  3. Liberty

Way Back in the early 1800 the SCOTUS decided that Liberty meant the right to do business any way you want.

Remember it was Liberty that gave doctors the right to Abort.

It was Liberty that gave the Military Industrial Complex the right to attack the Women and Children of Iraq.

  4. Well lets see.......give me a minute here...............I think im figuring it out now....................Oh.................. it was a.................I mean......................we invaded Iraq to.....................Not sure! Is this a trick question?

  5. Who said that the troops were protecting the US Constitution? When I spent 2 years in Korea, 8 years in the military, I did it to protect freedom, liberty, and the American way of life. I don't remember anyone telling me I was protecting the US Constitution.

  6. Right to life.

So you liberals can continue to complain, without being blown to pieces by a suicide bomber, in a shopping mall near you.

Weather you believe it or not there are many terrorists and countries supporting terrorism that want the USA destroyed.

Bill Clinton well know Liberal Democrat has said the same things about Iraq as Bush has said, but Bush is called the liar.

  7. All of it.

The concept that the members of the US military are subservient to civilian authority and obey lawful orders is a critical element of our freedoms.

Do you really thing that you political opinions are superior to the US Constitution?

  8. hey....I'm not the one who arbitrarily decided that the Constitution applies to everyone in the world....I suppose we could have saved a bunch of time by just suing our enemies....huh?

  9. The same part that liberals ***** to high heaven that we should enforce in Somalia, Croatia, and Darfur.

The constitution has nothing to do with Iraq.

  10. No part of the Constitution. However, just because they're not fighting to protect or defend the Constitution, that does not preclude them from being used as part of a multi-dimensional foreign policy action against a rogue state.

After all, when Jefferson and Adams sent the US Navy against the Barbary pirates, no part of the Constitution was being defended, either. Yet those two gentlemen, deeply involved in the foundation of this country, as were the members of Congress, saw no issue with fighting them.

Similarly, no part of the Constitution was being protected by our entrance into WW2, either.

It's a flawed argument, because it makes an erroneous assumption that the ONLY rightful use of the military is to protect and defend the Constitution.

  11. That All Men Are Created Equal.

  12. US interests, just like in all the other wars where we were not first attacked (ww2 is the only exclusion).
