Question:

What part of the mi 24 helicopter is this?

It looks like a cylinder but has a triangular cone extending out on one end and the cone has holes in it. Can anyone tell me what part of the mi 24 helicopter it is .

  1. David, this is a rocket pod installed on one of the hard points on the wing. Each of the holes may contain a 1.75" rocket. The rockets may be fired individually or severally. Usually, there is one pod on each side.

  3. that's not part of the helicopter, that's a rocket pod.

  4. That would be the UB-32-57 U rocket pod. It houses thirty two 57 mm S-5 rockets. (The first number indicates the number of rockets and the secon number is the caliber of the rocket)

    It is not part of the helicopter, it is add-on weaponry.
