  1. Supposedly,  your 'soul' is an alternative embodiment of 'you',  thus, when you die, you regain an immaterial version of your body (I sometimes wonder what state it would be in,  if you're going to Heaven it'd probably lack genitals,  which makes Heaven that much less attractive...) ... which can hurt, sear, and burn in just the same way the 'normal' human body can, only thousands of times worse, and without relief.  I mean,  this is the 'all-loving, benevolent God' we're talking about,  isn't it?

    I am therefore glad that such things are simply fantasy.
