Question:

What part of the titanic hit the iceburg?

(i'm talking about the name of it, like the name of the area-i know that one area is are called the hull...but which is it?)

  1. the right side of the bow.


  2. Starboard bow, below the waterline.  Engineers in bolier room 6, on the orlop deck, reported a 2-foot gash, for example.  Most of the rest of the damage was forward of this area.

  3. It was believed before the Titanic was discovered, that the Titanic sank because a massive hole was punched into the hull. This was later disproved. The Titanic sank because of six narrow gashes down the starboard side of the ship. The iceberg penetrated the steel of the Titanic with much ease. The water rushed into many of the watertight compartments destroying the ships boyancy.

  4. Starboard bow, but the doggone thing had the audacity to rip a hole along much of the starboard side, below the waterline.
