I used to hate my hips with a passion, now I wouldn't give them up for the world. My "childbearing" hips make the best "seat" in the world for my hugemongous 13 month old. I can't imagine trying to lug him around with the slim hips I so wish I had had when i was younger and not a mother.

What about you?

  1. My b*****s and my hips. I was a bit self conscious of them at first but my husband enjoys the curves. :) I also secretly like the small stretch marks around my belly button, they are a reminder of where I've been.

  2. I never would have changed anything. I look pretty much the same before and after. I love my body and always have. I thank God that all of it still works.

  3. My arms.  Nice and toned rather than bingo wings!

  4. I don't know.  I look the same before I had children, and has been the same height and weight since I've been 16 (4'9", almost 90 lbs).  I don't mind being a small woman - good things come in small packages.  :)

  5. Same thing and same reason... hips

  6. THE BREAST!!!!! I love them!!!

  7. Pregnancy made me love myself.

I have always had people telling me that I have a great body or that I'm pretty or whatever, but I never believed them because I'm young, stubborn and... Okay, pretty much just young and stubborn.

Before pregnancy I was around 138lbs, 5'5, I wore a size 7 in pants and medium shirts. I was pretty muscular, but nothing spectacular.

During pregnancy, I got up to 180, and at the very end my maternity pants were getting pretty snug (everywhere... Not just the stomach), and my bra size went from a 32C to a 38E.

Now, 5 and a half months later I am down to 128, back into a size 7, and a 34C and generally as close to my previous shape as I'm ever going to get...

But my stomach isn't flat anymore, my b***s sag a little bit, I have stretch marks on my stomach and thighs, and don't even get me started on what happened to the poor tattoos on my hips. But you know what? I made a baby. I love my slightly flabby mid-section, and my hair that is rapidly falling out and every single stretch mark and ruined tattoo. Ya know why? Because I have an awesome baby.Pregnancy did great things to my self-image, because I appreciate everything about myself now, even the things I hated before. Those semi-wide hips serve a purpose, and the battle scars are a constant reminder of how much I love my daughter.

I am not excited to go through being pregnant again, but it was very worth it.

  8. My mind.  I used to be selfish and hard.  Now I am soft(er) and loving.  I know this world is about much bigger things than me!

    Good question!!

  9. my hips.. they were nice before, but now I'm told they're yummy lol.

  10. I'm with Glenna.  I was curvy before I got pregnant and even had a booty but at least I was "thinner". ( 5'5" and 140)

Now 13 months later I'm still curvy with a booty but after gaining 80lbs during my pregnancy I'm 5'5" and 160.  *sigh*

But, in retrospect Bradley is worth all of it and more.

  11. My butt.

    I can't believe I actually HAVE a butt now!

I never had one worth looking at before.... Now I have a tushy!  WOOOHOOO!

    LOL

  12. I actually like my body much better after having kids. I am way thinner now. I went from a size 4 before kids to a size 0-2 now. I still have a bubble butt- but it isn't as big. I wouldn't change that! Or should I say.. I hope that doesn't change. LOL

  13. Well i'm due with my first in 3 days (yeah!) but I have to say I hope a few of my stretchmarks stick around in all honesty, i'm proud of them, it would always be a reminder to me of the way my body changed to house this little guy for so long!  And hubby isn't even grossed out by them, it's just another reminder of all the changes I am going through!

  14. I can honestly say there's nothing that I like about my post-pregnancy body.  My hips are VERY wide, my stomach is flabby and covered in stretch marks, my b*****s are saggy and lopsided, my rear sticks out further than my pregnant belly did, my feet are bigger......  That being said, if it came down to the "perfect body" or my 3 beautiful children, I'd pick my kids everytime.  If looking the way I do now is what it takes to have those little blessings in my life, then so be it.

*BTW - I'm working on the body image stuff.  I don't just sit on my *** and complain about how fat I am.  lol  I'm at the gym 3 days a week and I'm on weight watchers.  Wish me luck!  lol

  15. MY EYES!!!!!!

  16. My mind.

It really improved after having kids.

  17. I love the curves pregnancy gave me.  I used to have a boyish body, but now I have awesome curves.  I was a bit self conscious right after my son was born, but my husband loves my body, and I've come to love it too.

  18. While it's not exactly a part of my body, I would have to say my energy level. As a kid and a teenager, I had SO MUCH ENERGY. I hated it and needed to busy all the time!  I'd be laying in bed at 1am rolling around and squirming with an erge to just go outside and run around.

Now with an 18yr, 6yr, 5yr and 4m, my energy is finally all burned up by the end of the day! It's a great feeling.

  19. I have a better body now than I did before I got pregnant.

I weighed 98 pounds when I got pregnant with my daughter, I had no b***s, no butt , no nothing..lol

Now after my second child I now have nice b***s, and a nice butt.

  20. Hmmm that's a tough one.  I would have to say my arms.  After lugging around a baby carrier and a diaper bag (about 25lbs easy) my arms have bulked up pretty good.  I have strength in them that I did not have prior to having children.

  21. Besides my mind.....my arms.  I lug around my kids all day and in result, my arms are nice and toned now.  Before that...I had terrible arms, even though I worked out.  But carrying heavy kids did the trick for me!
