  1. You can't spot reduce ! The only way to lose weight is to control what we eat. Period.Our body decides where the weight goes. Simple as that.


  2. Biking's main muscles are the core (abdominals) and legs. Biking is often used as the first sport an athlete will be able to do after some surgeries because it is low impact, but it still will get you in shape.

You will have to lose fat all over, you can exercise your legs to firm them up so they look good when you do lose the fat.  You can't spot reduce, otherwise people would never get rid of a double chin.  Any exercise that will help you lose weight will help your thighs.  The easy way to do it is eat less.

    if you have a small waist but larger thighs then maybe thats just the way your body is.

    if you want to loose some weight then I would suggest eating reguarly during the day.

    6 meals instead of 3.

    not huge meals.

    should fit into your hand.

    and should be a variety of foods.

    -vegetables

    -lentils

    -carbs

    -nuts

    try using less salt, butter and oil in your cooking. that will also help.

    don't try and starve yourself you will only make yourself sick and it will not help you lose weight (just make you sick)

    exercise for AT LEAST 1 hours 3 times a week.

    if you exercise anyless than 3 times a week it wont work.

    if you are riding a bike to lose weight then try and spin between between 100-110 RPM (cadence) this will increase your heartrate and help your cardiovascular fitness which will help you lose weight.

    if you dont have a computer on your bike the I would suggest a wired cadence unit.

    if you push a hard gear then you will build more muscle rather than lose weight.

Bike riding gives you a cardio workout, so you are burning calories, helping you to control you total body weight.  It does tone all parts of your leg and butt, slimming it down.  Bike riding is a really good workout for the legs and butt.  The best workout for legs and thighs are squats.  Look up videos on youtube for how to do them properly. (not the squats with the weight bar)

    Bike riding alone is not enough to lose weight, you have to eat a sensible diet as well. You also have to ride with some intensity, for at least 30 to 40 minutes, and at least 3 days a week~over a period of several weeks before you start to see results.

    Weight comes off of our bodies evenly. You can't target any specific area to reduce fat on, but you can target specific muscle groups to work.

    One of the reasons why walking, running, and bike riding are good exercises for weight loss is that they make use of the largest muscle group in your body~your legs. Using bigger muscle groups requires more fuel and burns more calories.
