  1. The part that needs to be protected from that guy above me.

  2. Philosophy is not just something learned and taught, it is not just something that is a part of life, it is not just found in certain places amongst certain people. Philosophy is discovered through your eyes, your mind, and your heart only. You philosophy is unique in the fact that no one will ever possibly have the same one. Philosophy is apart of all aspects of life. Philosophy is life, it is what we live for and with, abide to, search for, and is far greater than life itself; life is built on philosophy. Without philosophy things like love would never be found, would never be felt, things like happiness would be unknown to us, the difference and the definitions of wrong and right would not have meanings, concepts would not have been thought of, the everyday decisions you make would not be of question, things like any of our emotions would be of alienated descent, theories of religions could not stand, success would have limitations, and so on and so on. You see without us as humans naturally to grow to perceive our personal philosophies and to be exposed to others life would not be as it is reality and dreams would not differ and we as the human race would not exist. Things like love and the qualities of love could not reign either as any emotions.... Philosophy benefits and empowers all aspects of life and the life that exists with in us.

  3. All areas can benefit. It is a way of going through your day. Going with the flow rather than building barriers.

  4. Creativity, originality, ability to think independantly and freely, sharpens your reaction time,....benifits are endless.

Just think of life like a large pond,...and you've just thrown a stone into it.

Your question is the stone, and now waves or thoughts of people are answering.

Life is short. Hope you achieve alot.

  5. every part, you just need to learn to appreciate every aspect of it and not think of philosophy as a course but a way of live, a breath of really good fresh air, start reading existentialist ideas, even ancient philosophy and oriental philosophy.

  6. The act of thinking gives you knowledge of your world. And knowledge is power. The power to capture and hold onto the things you love in life!

  7. The part between your shoulders.

  8. In your case, Minny, philosophy is like a mental e***a. It can clean out all that disorganized thought you have floating around your head.

The guy below me needs philosophical protection from me since he normally doesn't need to bring more than 1/10 of his mental energy to engaging in any discussion, but with me he finds that he needs more than 100%. He's bothered by the fact that he stands in my philosophical shadow. To rule as the philosophical king is his desire but his talent only enables him to be a mere philosophical jester.

  9. The time you start understanding that you are a person or you are a being , worry and tension starts since you have accepted all the qualities and dis qualities of Man as being.

And understandings may go untoward but if you be near your life to experience it deep.......deep.....deep...into meditation you will experience a reality of your life and you may not experience benifit of experiences of your life but you will become one with your life .no body would be able to devide you from your life.

  10. In Bertrand Russell's Problems of Philosophy, he explains that philosophy is to be studied not for the sake of any definite answers, but rather for the sake of the questions themselves. He explains that it is these questions, which enlarge our understanding of what is possible, enrich our intellectual imagination and diminishes the assurance, which closes the mind against speculation.. hope that helps
