  1. Cocktail sausage small pieces of pizza  crisps  cheese cucumber tomatoes  a dip for older children  cocoa pop cakes and birthday cake  don't worry about jelly and to many sweet bisc etc children really are not that keen

  2. Pizza, chips, dips, and juices seem to be good to me. Hot dogs are not good considering children can easily choke on those and depending on how many children show up their parents may not be that attentive. Also, you know how children like to run around and play.

For kid’s parties, the key is to keep food choices uncomplicated. Simple birthday party food is best at a party for children. Save your gourmet presentations for the adults. In case you’re trying to come up with some menu ideas, we’ve put together some suggestions for simple birthday party food you can serve at kid’s parties:

Put together a snack mix with graham cereal, almonds, and pecans mixed in with melted butter, brown sugar, and corn syrup.

Make easy finger sandwiches with a cheese spread and cut into 4 triangles.

Put out a bowl of macaroni and cheese.

Make a pot of fun-shaped pasta, like bow ties or seashells. Serve tomato sauce on the side.

Serve slices of pizza, cut into small squares.

    Birthday Party Desserts

At birthdays, everybody expects to see the birthday cake at the end of the meal. But if you want to make a change or serve other desserts in lieu of a birthday cake, there are many more birthday party desserts you can try. Here is our list of birthday party desserts, besides the standard cake:

Cupcakes – Cupcakes can be a wonderful substitute for the tried and true traditional birthday cake. Stack several of them in tiers or decorate individual cupcakes with letters or a birthday theme.

Peanut Butter Wontons – These aren’t your traditional wontons. Filled with peanut butter and deep-fried, peanut butter wontons are marvelous with a chocolate sauce.

Cake Ice Cream Cones - Bake cake mix in a muffin tin. Serve the cake, covered with frosting and sprinkles, in ice cream cones.

Snowball ice cream- Desserts are twice as fun when the guests get to make it themselves. Throw ice cream ingredients into a snowball ice cream maker, let the guests toss it around, and you’ll have a dessert ready in 20 minutes.

  3. Pizza, jam sarnies for the kids,quavers/wotsits, biscuits.

  4. dont know where you are but icelands do 3 for a fiver party stuff

  5. jelly icecream  crisps

all cheap and all good fun

  6. Sandwiches, sausage rolls, party sausages, grape and cheese on a cracker, jelly and ice cream, cakes, mini meat balls!! or just put the BBQ on with burgers, sausages and a couple of salads

  7. What ever your son will eat is what you should serve. remember the first birthday party is more about the parents than the kids.

  8. Juice 19p supermarket, economy crisps and biscuits and plenty of games to keep the kids happy, remember although a 1st birthday, not exactly memorable, bet you don't remember yours!

  9. mini sausages, choc fingers, maybe quality streets 2 share.

  10. Check out Iceland for some of their party food deals, some of the 'finger-food' stuff is just any three varieties for £5.00. Just keep it really simple.....crisps and simple snacks is just fine!

  11. Why don't you just do food for the kids and tea and biscuits for the adults. Don't feel bad about not feeding the whole tribe, just explain that you are only feeding the kids!

I would suggest Tesco value range (or similar) and maybe lots of sandwiches maybe jam as that is cheap, crisps, jelly and some choc buttons.

Put some silly music on and get the adults to dance then they can't eat at the same time! lol

    Enjoy it's a celebration not a 5* restaurant.

  12. no one eats much at parties but cocktail sausages are a must and chocolate fingers !!! never make sandwiches and sausage rolls !!

  13. cocktail sausages, small chunks of cheese, pineapple, little onions etc =D

little sandwiches, bowls of crisps, small pies etc..

for pudding you could have mini marshmallows, donuts, maybe a chocolate dip... =D and also you could maybe have like some fruit pieces such as strawberries, raspberries, blueberries, chunks of apples, pineapples, orange segments and bananas...

    yuummmm =D x

  14. On thing I always do is buy a couple of frozen pizzas, cook them the night before, cut them into bitesize bits and pop them in the fridge to be served cold.  Also you can buy little sauage rolls frozen and cook them the night before.  Then value crisps, mini suasages, and there's no problem with making a few ham/cheese/egg sarnies as well.  Tea cakes and jam tarts go down well for pudding!  But remember, little pnes don't eat a lot at parties, they'd rather play.....  Good luck with it all! xxxxx
