What pellet type or specific pellet is best for hunting in .177 caliber?

i have a RWS 34 Panther and want to hunt small game and take care of household pests so whitch pellet out there has the most killing power?

Airguns tend to be very particular about the pellets they prefer. You're going to have to experiment with a few high quality pellets to see which your rifle is the most accurate with.

"Generally" speaking domed pellets are the best for hunting purposes. They carry their velocity better than any other pellet shape.

I ran the combination RWS 34 & RWS Superdoms(8.3gr) through my calculator. If you sight-in(scope) at 42 yards. You will be 1/2in low at 8 yards - right on at 14 - 1/2in high at 28 yards - and, 1/2in low again at 48 yards. This combination gives you a very flat trajectory
