What pepper plant has red stalk and stem, grows about 3 feet tall, and has green leaves?

I thought I had planted cayenne peppers, but it doesn't look anything like that. Also, it has yet to blossom or even bud, so I don't know if it will even produce fruit.

Many pepper plants look like that.  I have sweet banana peppers that look like that

I have a plant growing just like that but it is a new hybrid this year and it is a spinach plant. Wish I had a picture to make sure.
