  1. You have to think for these sorts of problems...

    1. 15 is what percent of 120? So you're searching for a percentage.

    120 x p = 15

    p = 15/120 = 0.125 = 12.5 %

    2. 85 percent of what number is 102. So you're searching for a number larger than 102.

    102 = 0.85 x n

    n = 120

    3. find 90 percent of 20. Basic math.

    0.90 x 20  = n

    n = 18

    That basically covers all of the scenarios. You can figure the rest out on your own.

  2. 15 percent, #1 18percent, #2 120, #3 18, #4 375, #5 75, #6 3, #7 66.666666666666666666666666666667 percent  ,#8 25, #9 60

    if you take take the percent of the number [75] and divide it by the whole number [500] you will get the percent [.15 or 15 percent] you can reverse this to find any one of these numbers if you multiply the percent [.15] with the whole number [500] you will get the percent of that number [75] and if you need to find the whole number [500] you just need to divide the percent of that number [75] by the percent [.15 or 15 percent]

  3. Hey, just use this site, and fill in what you need, will give you all answers. I have used it many times before.

  4. Assume that 75 is X percent of 500

    This means (500)(X/100) = 75

    500X = (100)(75) = 7500

    X = 15

    75 is 15 percent of 500

  5. (15/120) * 100 = x%

    0.85 * x = 120

    0.9 * 20 = x

    0.01 * x = 3.75

    0.024 * x = 1.8

    0.15 * 20 = x

    x * 27 = 18

    1.25 * 20 = x

    0.2 * 300 = x

    solve for x. Remember the numbers will be in the form of a decimal that need to be multiplied by 100 to look like xx.x%.

  6. 15%

    1) 12.5%

    2) 120

    3) 108

    4) 375

    5) 75

    6) 3

    7) 66.7%

    8) 25

    9) 60

  7. To find the % of 500, the formula is (100 X 75)/500 = 15%.

    1)  X = (100 X 15)/120

    2)  .85X = 102,   X = 102/.85  To get the X by itself so you can work the problem, I divided both sides by .85.

    This is how you work them.  You need to do the problems yourself so you will know how.

  8. Well, if it's homework, I can't give you the answer, but I can explain how to work it out. You need to make that a proportion. If you don't know what a proportion is, I'll show you. Okay, I'll use 500 and 75. A proportion is like 2 equivalent fractions but with a missing numerator or denominator(x). Your job is to find x. So yours would be something like this: 75/500=x/100(because all percents are out of 100). So think of it as the left on top of the right number. Next, you would need to cross-multiply- or, in other words multiply the numerator on the left with the denominator on the right(so top-left to bottom-right; the next will be the opposite). So that equals 7500. And x is the unknown number, so we leave it 500x. So now it should be: 7500=500x. All you need to do now, is divide 500 from 7500, and that is 15. Did I give you enough information to continue?
