  2. I'd bet MOST Americans, in today's economy, feel they aren't ready financially to retire.

    If you are young, you struggle to make ends meet --education debt,   your first home, credit cards, so who can save? You really  need to be disciplined (mostly through a payroll deduction type of plan.. where you don't miss the deduction going  into savings).

    If you are eligible to retire, but  choose to remain working -- I understand as I'm a retirement counselor in my employment, and in the same boat. When you see what's happening with gas/food etc (inflation), it scares you into remaining employed to save longer for those retirement years.

    Bottom line -- I don't know but I'm SURE it is the MAJORITY of Americans who  aren't doing enough.

  3. There are probably many who know they are not doing enough. And others who are oblivious to their situation. Bottom line, most Americans are unprepared.
