What percent of alchohol is in beer?

it varies from state to state and location. in missouri everything is 4.5 when you are talking domestics.  In states like utah and colorado  Beer purchased in gas stations and possibly grocery stores domestics are 3.2.  however in bars and liquor stores it is 4.5  

keep in mind that this can all changewith different types of specialty imports and micro brews.  I just purchased a barley wine beer that was 10 and semiklaus is 13 i believe.
