  1. it depends the age group and the number of animals

For every year after the child has reached 8 subtract 10% from 100%

For every animal in the house subtract 5% from the origional animal, until the animals in the house reach 5+ then ad 5% to the origional 100%

For every animal the child cares for subtract 15% and for every animal the mom has to care for add 20%

Ex. a child who is 13 years old and has a fish tank, 1 cat, and 1 dog, and he takes care of the dog and tank has a 25% chance of the mom saying no

  2. idk... more than 50%

my Mom said no to one :P

  3. I have said no many times, I would say 75%. For me it is not cause I dont like them, I do and I had one as a kid, but I have cats who eat small creatures and would not like to see a poor hamster die. Find out her reasons...they may be really smart ones!

  4. I would say 80% would say no

  5. I am a parent and I say "NO" - they are stinky pets if you do not clean them regularly and most kids will not clean them regularly. I only say this from experience....

I would say that over 50% would say "NO" - especailly if they have had one.

Good luck - hope you win the $5.

  6. well i'm  a parent and i'd sure say no to a hamster.

we have guinea pigs, and would never own a different rodent except a rat.  but never ever a hamster, gerbil or mice.

too small, they bite and personally i don't find them near as interactive as guinea pigs and rats.

  7. hhaa it took my mom too weeks to allow me to get a hamster!! i  cried and cried until she finally gave up!! sh ecalled them nasty little thing! but now she loves them soo much and think they are so cute!;)

  8. 50%

  9. I'm not sure I can be exact, but I know an awful lot of mums who have let their kids have hamsters.  It's not like they make a mess like a dog or have flees like a cat.  I reckon it's only about 20% of parents that are clean freaks and wouldn't allow a hamster.
