  2. there are stats - try the Australian Bureau of Statistics. its a really high %, something like 80 or 90%

  3. Well about three quarters of west aussies live in perth (the capital) so that should give you an idea. There is too much desert inland. There are people living there but in very small comunities, mostly to suport a nearby mine.

  4. When you consider that for its vast geographical size, WA has only around 2 million inhabitants and that the vast bulk of WA is unihabitable desert, you will see that just about all of us live on the limited coastal plain available.

    We may be 20 kms inland at times, and you may be thinking TV program near.
