  1. The United Kingdom grants India independence government in 1947: British India, together with acceded states, is partitioned into the Dominion of India and the Dominion of Pakistan. Shortly after the division the freedom leader Mahatma Gandhi is assasinated in 1948. At that moment Jawaharlal Nehur, of Gandhi's Indian National Congress, becomes prime minister. India became a republic within the Commonwealth after promulgating its constitution in 1950. India is a semi-federal state, with weak provincial legislatures and a strong central government. After independence, the Indian National Congress (INC), the party of Mahatma Gandhi and Jawaharlal Nehru, rules India under the influence first of Nehru and then his daughter and grandson, with the exception of two brief periods in the 1970s and 1980s. Nehru governs India until his death in 1964. During his rule India annexes the former Portuguese India in 1961. He is succeeded by Lal Bahadur Shastri, who also died in office.

  2. It varies between northern and southern Europe.  And, even within those regions.  The incidence of blondness is higher in children as hair tends to darken in their teens.

I was a very blond child but am now a dark blond with hazel eyes.

Refer to the links below for a detailed map of blond hair and blue eyes in Europe.

  3. In certain European populations the occurrence of blond hair is very frequent, and often remains throughout adulthood. The hair color gene MC1R has at least seven variants in Europe and the continent has an unusually wide range of hair and eye shades.Blonde hair is at the highest frequency in countries of Northern Europe. Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Finland, Estonia, Germany, the Netherlands, Austria, and Iceland have the highest frequencies in the world. At least 50% of the native populations of all these countries are blonde. In Norway, Germany, and the Netherlands, the rate generally ranges from 45-70%. In some parts of Sweden, Iceland, Finland, the rate is even as high as 80% or more.Generally, blond hair in Europeans is associated with paler eye color (gray, blue, green and light brown) and pale (sometimes freckled) skin tone. Strong sunlight also lightens hair of any pigmentation, to varying degrees, and causes many blond people to freckle, especially during childhood.

  4. dunno dont think anyones done a survey ...

  5. 24.8

  6. It varies quite a bit...

Pockets of Northern Europeans have upwards of 40-50% blonde hair, and it seems to be slightly more prevalent among females (even before the dye)...

Whereas in southern Europe, it's down to about 10%...

Also related, about 25-30% of Europeans have blue eyes, which are believed to be genetically less than 10,000 years old!

I wonder how recent/old the blonde hair gene is?

  7. I would think more people in Northern Europe have blonde hair than any hair color--like Swedes, Norwegians, etc. Probably 75%.

In France, Italy, and Greece, blonde hair is rare. I think maybe 5%.

I think most Europeans have brown, blonde, and red hair. Red hair has to be the rarest, unless you are in a really cold-non sunshine area.

Non European hair colors are black, dark brown, and that auburn-color that is not really red but it's very pretty.

    But this is a guess.
