  1. well nomatter where you are there is a high risk of getting injury or death. best way to avoid getting injured is to always be on your toes . it may have been your millionth traffic stop but it might also be your last. theres a reason why they stopped calling the routine traffic stops. most of the most wanted people are arrested in traffic stops and they can be one of the most dangerous things you do. statistics say that 99% of all confrontations end peacefully with no struggle at all. they also say that most police officers never fire their weapon in their entire careers

  2. very high   I think all police officers in urban area will sustain atleast a few minor injurys in there career. It might just be a bump and cut or a sprain ankle or something. Police put up with alot of c**p from low lifes,thugs,robber,drunks,killers,theive...

  3. If you're talking about an american city ......then HIGH .....h**l even a small town .......HIGH!

An Australian city ....low ....small town ZERO!

    :o))

  4. 1%.......IF THAT.....

  5. The following is an excerpt from an FBI press release: "57 law enforcement officers were feloniously killed in the line of duty during 2007. Geographically, 31 of the victim officers were killed in the South, nine in the West, nine in the Midwest, and seven in the Northeast. One officer was slain in Puerto Rico. The total number of officers killed is nine higher than in 2006.  By circumstance, 16 deaths occurred as a result of ambush situations, 16 died during arrest situations, 11 were killed while handling traffic pursuits/stops, six died responding to disturbance calls, three while investigating suspicious persons/circumstances, three during tactical situations, one while conducting investigative activities, and one while handling and transporting prisoners."

I know that this does not answer the specific details of your question, but I hope that it gives you a general idea.  Unfortunately, injury or death can come to any officer, regardless of geographical location or population of the area that he/she is serving.

  6. More trash collector get killed in New York than cops.
